V Orfhlaith vom hohlen Hügel, SchH 2, Kkl 1 'a' One of our youngest stars, is a daughter of V Star vom Hasenborn, SchH 3, Lbz 'a', and out of V Tennsen vom Hasenborn, SchH 1, Kkl 1 'a'. Orfhlaith shows promise as a producer. Her first litter was by a *Hobby Gletschertopf son, and the pups show consistently strong temperaments, rich pigment, excellent secondary sex characteristics, and eye-grabbing type. We hope to breed her on her next heat to VA Wildmarken's Tito, SchH 3, a fine son of World Sieger Ursus von Batu, SchH 3, Lbz 1 'a' and out of V Wildmarkens Häsel SchH1 Kkl 1. Orfhlaith is my favorite walking partner.......she always urges me to go on just one more mile! She's a happy, energetic dog with a zest for life that her pups seem to share. Ch. Hollow Hills' Nimue v Major, OFA Nimue is a bit of an icon here at Hollow Hills. Her conformation and type are so near to the ideal that both German and American Judges love her. She finished her championship quickly and went on in three short months of Best of Breed and Group placements to rank 4th nationally among all GSD's shown that year. But Nimue is not just a physically beautiful dog - she has a zest for life that is infectious, she never met a stranger, she's a natural athlete and possesses plentiful working drive. Nimue's line continues through offspring from her daughter, Synchronicity. Sired by Select Champion Wayside's Honky Tonk Man, OFA, we hope these pups will carry the tradition of this line forward another generation. CH. Hollow Hills' Gwydion v Major, CD, TT, AD, OFA Litter brother to Nimue (see above), Gwydion typifies the results of our German/American combination breedings. He possesses the bone, substance, temperament, correct coat and earset, working drive and soundness of his German sire, which combines perfectly with fluid movement, style and beauty from his American dam. Gwydion's correctness of type and structure enabled him to succeed as Champion in the AKC ring and also as the Adult Sieger in the Northeast Region under German judge Lothar Quoll. Gwydion's name means "bright star" in Gaelic, and he has been exactly that for us! He's our housepet and companion, hiking buddy and soccer mascot. CH. Hollow Hills' Sierra v Cherpa, OFA Sierra is a daughter of Select Champion Lothario of Heinerburg, CD, ROM, OFA. Her dam is Cherpa's Hollow Hills' Stejan, TT, OFA who is a daughter of Am. CH./Can. Sel. Ch. Cherpa's Fiddler of Woodside, ROM, OFA. Sierra is well on her way to her own ROM status. Her first champion daughter is the outstanding producer, Champion Kaleef's Blondie, ROM, produced while leased to Jim & Sheree Moses and herself the mother of multiple Kaleef champions. A sister to Blondie, Kaleef's Valle, is also an ROM with several champion offspring. Sierra's most recent champion daughter is Champion Hollow Hills' Classic Sunrise. Other progeny have contributed their own accomplishments in obedience, including Hollow Hills' Cynosure, CD, NJ, NAJ, OFA and we hope they accumulate sufficient points to gain their mama the ROM she deserves. Sierra is thirteen, and until just recently she has enjoyed radiant good-health. Though she may not be with us much longer, we look forward to her grandchildren in an eagerly anticipated spring litter from her daughter, Lodestar a.k.a. "Loden", who was bred to Select Champion Welove Du Chien's Rollins, OFA. She had a successful show career with numerous BOB's and some Group Placements. Sierra comes from a line that has been a strong one for producing sound hips, health, temperament, intelligence, athleticism and longevity. Her own pups have thus far been stunningly beautiful, with good drives for working, and have had great preliminary hip X-rays. She's the most wonderful companion to our family.
